Hi everyone! I’m back on the blog today with my second DT share. I have been wanting to scrap these pictures for a while now and when I saw the new release cutfiles this month I knew they’d be perfect! I chose three CUT to YOU cutfiles to make this layout! The first two were from the CUT to YOU shop – Life is Short, Eat the Cake, the Cupcake cutfile and the third one was the Newsletter Freebie – Candles.

I started by cutting all three cutfiles from white, textured cardstock. I resized them all so that I could get them all on the page!

I then set about making my background. First I put white gesso on the white cardstock I was using for my background. I then used the packaging technique and distress oxide inks to create the blue background. You can see how this came together in my process video.
Next, I needed to back my cutfiles and for this I used a range of blue papers from my stash.

I used the same papers to back my photographs to ensure the page felt coordinated.

I used lots of adhesive foam to add dimension to the layout.

The last thing I did was to add some hand-doodling to the edges and some clusters of enamel dots.
